Dr. Mēgan Pickens

Dr. Mēgan Pickens is a licensed professional counselor (LPC-S) in Texas as well as a serial entrepreneur, author, speaker and teacher focusing on life enrichment, female empowerment, and healthy relationships. She is the founder of Family First Counseling (FFC) in Arlington, Texas, where she currently serves as CEO and Clinical Director. In addition to her therapeutic work, she is also an accomplished academic, speaker, educator and entrepreneur. She is the founder of the cottage bakery business Baked Therapy and Private Practice Revolution, a consultancy that provides training on best business practices and growth to other behavioral health professionals in private practice.

With her colleague, she co-founded the Minority Behavioral Health Provider Networking Group (MBHPN) to address the mental health needs of minorities. Mēgan frequently speaks publicly about her experiences in life and business and presents seminars, workshops, and groups on various topics. Her work has been published in the second edition of “Marriage and Family Therapy: A Practice-Oriented Approach” and “The Sister Code: A guide to better relationships between women and girls.”  She completed her doctorate in marriage and family therapy at Texas Wesleyan University.
